You are cordially invited to a zine release at Bookmachine books + zines featuring two brand new zines by Sydney Middleton: “Fables Retold” and “If Igor Acted Like Igor (My Dog).” There will be artwork on display and zines for sale, with the artist/writer there to discuss her work. This amazing showcase is Friday, September 1st from 6-10pm during the Downtown Fullerton Art Walk. As always, this event is FREE and open to the public.
Here is the concept of the zine “Fables Retold." Imagine that a crazy man comes up to you on the street and starts to describe different fairy tales. These are those fairy tales.
In the zine ”If Igor acted like Igor (my dog)" Frankenstein's assistant, Igor, is re-imagined with the same personality as a miniature pinscher who shares the same name.
